Hi, my name is Pia. I am a self-shooter/filmmaker, fighter and a geek.
When I decided to go freelance and follow my passion, some thought I was mad. Maybe I am? In today’s world,
you have to be a little crazy, and to me normal is boring anyway. Start small, think big. My brain might be wired differently but that hasn’t stopped me from pushing forward and pursuing my goals. In fact, it helps me stand out and makes me unique, not just as a filmmaker but as an individual - and as such I have high aspirations.
My passion for filmmaking stems from my interest in non-mainstream films and the desire to tell stories that offer an alternative perspective on the reality we live in. Film is a powerful tool to engage people and open up conversations. It can greatly increase visibility and understanding of issues that otherwise would remain uncovered. I am fascinated by the capacity of film and the impact it can have on an audience and on society in general.
I particularly enjoy making films that inspire thought. My all-time favourite is "Memento."
I strive for excellence in every aspect of my work and thrive in creative and challenging environments.
My interests include travelling and screenwriting.
From short films and music videos to feature films, Pia has worked on a wide range of productions, both as director of photography/
cinematographer and camera operator.
Credits include the music video for Eddy Arturo's "Darklord," the independent feature film "Parallel Lines," "Intra," and "SLR," a short film that was short-listed for an Academy Award.

Some of the projects Pia worked on include the IFTA-nominated short film "SLR," a travel show for UKTV channel Dave as well as numerous live events and corporate videos for a variety of well-known clients.
